"Operation Rescue Lily Rose"NOW - I had tears running down my face earlier when the vet called me this morning with the update. I've finally settled down and got home from my errands so I can share this news with you all.
Lily Rose - our little fighter - is BARKING and JUMPING ON HER CAGE TO GET OUT this morning!!!!! This from a little girl who has not made but one little noise all week long, who has not moved more than a few steps all week long!!!!!!!! I have goosebumps even now just writing about her!
The vet is shaking his head. He still can't believe what he did made this huge of a difference. BUT - get this - her breathing, which has been very rapid and ragged sounding all week - is now NORMAL!
He speculates that the enforced anorexia from the blockage caused a hyperacidosis in her little lungs, causing the breathing problem.
The big test - he gave her food this morning. IF she keeps it down, I get to bring her HOME tonight - after he runs in more IV's and antibiotics, pain drugs etc.
Lily was so active this morning that he was worried about her hurting her incision! OMG
Now, he cautioned me she still has a long road - could be complications from the incision in or out, etc.... BUT he is beginning to believe what I said about angels surrounding her with protection!!
Oh, big hugs to you all for pulling for her. I will give you another update later on.
Love to all bubbling over here, -Sheila
