Fantasy Flower Doily 1

This flower does not exist in nature that I know of; it is just a flower from my imagination.

MATERIALS REQUIRED

Small amounts each of pink or desired flower color, green (or two greens if you want to do different color green leaves as shown in photo), white and purple. All #10 thread, crochet hook size 9 or your preferred size. Excellent for scrap thread use!!

ABBREVIATIONS USED

CH = Chain
SL ST = Slip Stitch
SC = Single Crochet
PSC = Prong Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
TRC = Treble Crochet
DTR = Double Treble Crochet
DTRP = Double Treble Popcorn

INSTRUCTIONS

With Pink, Ch 8, join with sl st

Rnd 1
Ch 1, work 15 SC in ring. Join with sl st to first SC.

Rnd 2
*Ch 3, sk 2 SC, SC in next SC. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st into first lp. (5 loops)

Rnd 3
SC in same lp. *Ch 4, 6 DTR in same lp. Drop lp, insert hook thru top of Ch 4, pick up dropped lp and pull through (popcorn made). Ch 5, SC in next lp. Repeat from * around (5 petals). End with Ch 5, sl st in first SC.

Rnd 4
Repeat Round 3 with pink (9 petals). Fasten off.

Rnd 5
Repeat Round 3 with first green (10 petals). Fasten off.

Rnd 6
Repeat Round 3 with second green (11 petals). Fasten off.

Rnd 7 (attach white or other accent color)
Sl st to next loop. Ch 6, work (DTR, CH 2) 6 times. Work one more DTR same loop. *Work (DTR, ch 2) 6 times in next loop. Work 1 more DTR in same loop. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st to 5th chain of first ch 7.

Rnd 8
Ch 4. DTR in next 3 DTR, holding back last loop of each. Thread over and draw thru all loops (DTR cluster made). *Ch 6, DTR in tip of cluster just finished. Ch 5, SC in base of Ch 5 just made. Ch 6, DTR in Ch 5 loop just completed. DTR in SAME DTR (as last DTR of previous cluster) on round 7 and in next 3 DTR's, holding back last loop of each. Thread over and make DTR cluster. Ch 9, SC in 5th ch of ch 9 just made. Ch 4, make DTR Cluster over next 4 DTR. Repeat from * around ending with ch 4, sl st in top of first cluster.

Rnd 9
Sl st into next ch 6 space.Ch 1, 5 SC in same space. *Ch 5, work 5-DTR Cluster in next ch 5 loop. Ch 5, SC in back top of cluster just made. Ch 5, work 5 SC in next ch 6 space. Ch 5, work (SC, ch 5, SC) in next loop. Ch 5, work 5 SC in next CH 6 space. Repeat from * around ending with ch 5, sl st in top of first SC. Fasten off.

Rnd 10
Color Change - 2nd accent color
Attach new color in ch 5 loop over any treble cluster. *Ch 5, SC in same loop. Ch 6, SC in next 5 SC. Ch 6, work (DTR, ch 2) 4 times. Work 1 more DTR in same loop. Ch 6, SC in next 5 SC. Ch 6, SC in ch 5 loop over next treble cluster. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 6, sl st in first SC.

Rnd 11
Ch 5, SC in top of same cluster; *CH 5, DTR Cluster over first three DTR. CH 9, SC in 4th ch of ch 9 just made; CH 4, DTR cluster starting in SAME DTR as last one made and in next two DTR. CH 7, SC in 3rd ch of ch 7 just made. Ch 3, work (SC, ch 5, SC) in next ch 5 loop. Repeat from * around ending with ch 3, sl st in first SC. Fasten off.

Rnd 12
Attach green or other border color in any ch 5 loop between two DTR clusters.

Ch 5, Work (DTR, Ch 1) 7 times. Work 1 more DTR in same space (first chain counts as DTR, total of 9 DTR's). *Ch 4, skip next space, work 3 SC in following space. Ch 4, work TRC in next ch 5 loop. Ch 5, SC in base of ch 5 just made. Ch 4, work 3 SC in other half of space. Ch 4, work TRC in next ch 5 loop. Ch 5, SC in base of ch 5 just made. Ch 4, work 3 SC in next space. Ch 4, work (DTR + CH 1) 8 times in next ch 5 loop. Work 1 more DTR in same ch 5 loop (9 DTR's). Repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 13
Ch 8, SC in 3rd chain from hook. *Work 5 DTR Cluster over first 5 DTR's. Ch 5, SC in top of cluster just made. Ch 11, SC in 6th chain from hook. Ch 5, Work 5 DTR Cluster over DTR's 5-9 on previous row. Ch 5, SC in top of cluster. Ch 11, work (SC, ch 5, SC in next ch 5 loop) twice. Ch 4. Repeat from * around ending with Ch 4, sl st in first ch 5 loop.

Rnd 14
Ch 1, *7 SC in ch 5 space. Ch 4, SC in next ch 5 loop. Ch 4, 7-DTR (ch 4 counts as first DTR) popcorn in ch 5 loop. Ch 5. sc in same ch 5 loop as popcorn. Ch 4, work 7 SC in next ch 5 space. Ch 3, work (SC-ch 5-SC) in next ch 5 loop. (Ch 3, work 7 SC in next ch 11 space. Ch 4, work 7 more SC in same space. Ch 3, work (SC, ch 5, SC) in next ch 5 loop) twice. Ch 4, work SC-ch 5-SC in next ch 5 loop. Repeat from * around ending with sl st in first ch-1. Fasten off.
